Handle With Care

“In a world with social media, unrealistic beauty standards, and filters, I grew up feeling insecure about the way I looked. Feeling self-conscious about my body, struggling with food, acne, hiding behind clothes and never feeling confident were all familiar feelings when I was in middle school, high school, and even college. The healthy relationship and love I have for myself today didn’t come easy, but I can tell you everything I went through, what I learned in the process, tips and tricks that helped me, and most importantly show you really how unique and special you are. I see it, but what matters is that you do too.”

beauty standards my a**

Come spend a very fun week with Gabriela as her schedule is packed with work and events. A friend of hers turned 21, the other one is getting married and things at the office are going so well. Life after graduation couldn’t be any better! Given some recent controversy regarding a Tiktoker promoting an unhealthy lifestyle, Gabriela wants to sit down and discuss beauty standards. Hint, THEY DON’T EXISTS. Whether you’ve struggled with body image or not, this is a very important conversation for all girls around the world.

Stay Strong

Top of Gabriela's bucket list was Tokyo and the day is finally here. Travel with her to Japan and spend a few days with her there. Everything is insane, from the food to the scenery and the people, she’s having a blast. She’s recently gotten a lot of messages asking how she’s dealt with struggles you face during ED recovery. Many wonder how she dealt with gaining weight again, missing your old body, and overall staying strong during this process. She is here to tell you her key trick, one that has not only helped her during recovery but one that taught her self-love. This episode should be viewed with caution for anyone struggling.

Pretty Before and After

This week Gabriela addresses a topic many of you have asked a lot about … plastic surgery. She talks about insecurities first, breaking it down into three types and letting you know it's normal to have them, we all feel insecure about something. After that, she talked about the importance of openly speaking about plastic surgery and how toxic it can be not to do so. And last Gabriela shares with you the procedures she has gotten done, tells the story of each, and answers all your questions about them. Despite this being a controversial topic, she firmly stands behind having an open conversation on cosmetic procedures. Whether you agree or disagree, we hope you enjoyed this week's episode.

It's Not A Coincidence

Chop chop. In this episode, Gabriela tells us her hair horror story, more like a perfect story. What seemed to be the worst thing, turned out to be the best thing for her, and that is true for all of you. The “bad” things that happen to us, even something insignificant like cutting your hair and feeling insecure about it, can lead to the most amazing things

Be Your Own Hype Man

Gabriela’s little sister Maria joins her for this episode as the two sail across the Caribbean for Thanksgiving break. The sisters discuss the importance of treating yourself the same way you would treat a friend and the importance of hyping yourself up like you would someone you love. The way we talk to ourselves about the way we look will completely affect the way we feel about ourselves. Let’s go to volcanoes, snorkeling, watch the sunset, and tan, all while remembering to empower
ourselves.

GRWM: My Relationship With Acne

Let’s sit down for a get-ready with me with Gabriela while she tells us about her struggles with acne, her relationship with makeup, and how she improved her relationship with both. As teenagers and young adults, acne is very NORMAL and common, therefore nothing to be ashamed of, but Gabriela is very familiar with wanting to hide.
